Dr. Nihar Modi
M. S. Ortho | D.N.B. Ortho | MRCS (England) | Diploma in Football Medicine (FIFA) | Fellowship in Shoulder, Elbow & Knee Sports injuries, Arthroscopy and Arthroplasty (Australia, USA)
Movement is more than just mobility, it is independence, confidence, and quality of life. As an Orthopaedic Surgeon, my goal is to help patients overcome pain, recover from injury, and return to the activities they enjoy most.
I specialise in sports injuries, arthroscopy (keyhole surgery), and joint replacement, offering treatment tailored to everyone’s needs and lifestyle. My approach combines the latest evidence-based techniques with compassionate, patient-centred care, ensuring that every patient understands their condition and is actively involved in the treatment journey.
I believe that successful treatment is not simply about performing surgery. It begins with an accurate diagnosis, clear communication, and choosing the most appropriate treatment, whether that involves rehabilitation, minimally invasive procedures, or surgery when truly necessary. My commitment is to provide honest advice, precise care, and long-term solutions that help every patient move with confidence and return to living an active, fulfilling life.

Hobbies
Outside of the hospital, you’ll probably find me with the guitar, at a gym or playing a sport. Be it football, badminton, cricket, lawn tennis or swimming, I’m always up for a game and give it my best. Throughout my MBBS, I was the captain of the football college team. Recently, I have started pushing myself into newer areas such as skateboarding, which has been fun. I also enjoy running marathons and have completed 12 marathons as a semi-professional runner and I plan for that number to grow.
Music is another go-to hobby of mine; I am a part of an amateur doctor’s band – Tachychordia and have been their lead guitarist for 8 years counting.
